When I made it known that I had a private practice, the people who came to me, even if I did not say anything about it, were spiritual people. Some of them practiced some spiritual practice and some did not, but had some intuitive knowledge about there being more than only what the senses can tell.
It is no surprise. All of us always bring to us people who have the same vibrations that we have. I also had the vibrations of their problems but this is another story. We healed together and this is always true in all healing.
At first I called myself an art therapist and I called what I was doing psychotherapy. This is also what my license says. As I was working with people I started to see that I was very intuitive. Instead of using psychological theories and knowledge I used my intuition and had wonderful results. The deepest inhibiting programs in the subconscious of the clients showed themselves immediately as we started our work. People with years of depression were not depressed any more pretty fast. People who were lost in a mixture of strong emotions became clear in a few sessions. I even helped people get rid of the onset of allergies and one time I relieved a client, in one of our sessions, from a severe migraine headache that she had.
The big change happened when, after a long search, in all available modalities of healing, for a solution to a severe chronic pain that I had from nerve damage, I decided to heal myself through the use of my own method. You can see the process on my other blog: www.IntuitiveFlow.org . This led me deeper and deeper into the method of using intuition through art-making. I discovered that I could, like a loving detective, go from hint to hint and arrive at the core issue that created a problem for me, and I could dissolve it in one day. It required doing a series of intuitive drawings and reading them. Each of them led me deeper and when I cleared the last one, the next drawing became overwhelmingly beautiful and left me feeling deeply satisfied for a day or two. Then the immediacy of the experience subsided but the change remained. When was the last time that you felt deeply satisfied?
From early in my life I could read art. This always helped me help others through their artwork. But as time went by I discovered that I could read what other people felt and what mental structures were operating in their subconscious through drawings that I made in their presence. This helped even more than just reading their drawings. Then I realized that it was enough for me to hear about someone I didn’t even know, to have some little information, and I could do an intuitive drawing in my office and know what was going on in their subconscious or what was going on with them energetically. When I do that, I also know what they can do to get better. This is the basis for the “Donation Based One Healing Session” on this website.
When I worked with people, I taught them how to do an intuitive drawing and how to read it. Everybody learned it pretty quickly and became batter and better with time. This is how I do therapy or healing. It is not as important that I know what is going on with them, as it is that they know. I decided to teach other therapists in conferences and workshops how to do it and everybody learned. I had a supervision group where I taught the therapists how to do intuitive art and how to read it, in order to understand their clients better. We could start from a drawing of the client that they brought or even from their stories about the client. They all did it successfully. And now I have the first book about this method that will very soon come out. You can read about it on this website.
So here is the question:
Where do I belong now? Am I an art therapist? Am I an intuitive healer?
For an art therapist I use too much intuition. For intuitive healers I use art, which they don’t use. So I am a one-man-category. That’s where I belong. And I belong to all of you out there who may find this approach worth trying. It is one of the sweetest and most beautiful ways to heal and grow. It works much faster than most of the other therapies. I am happy to be here, in my category, as this is who I really am.
In future entries I’ll write more about intuition. It is quite simple and natural. I invite your questions.
